Bill Clinton: "I did not have sexual relations with Barack Obama"

In what some observers are calling a last-ditch, poison pill defense/attack, designed to protect his wife's incredible shrinking lead, ex-President Bill Clinton has declared that he did not have sex with Barack Obama. That this is a campaign ploy seems obvious, since, as far as is known, no one has made the claim that there has been sex between the two men. Furthermore, both Clinton and Obama have been widely assumed to be "straight".
Some have recently speculated that Bill Clinton's attacks on Obama and have been counterproductive, and that his inflated claims about his own performance in office have also put off some undecided voters.
Furthermore, Clinton seems to be falling behind in the endorsement race; old but hot Maria Shriver just gave it up for Obama, thereby sewing up the leering white men demographic.
Today's announcement by Bill Clinton may be a shift in the strategy used by the Clinton camp. The denial of sex with Obama may constitute a new tactic, an attempt to use Bill Clinton's negative values (promiscuity, dishonesty and parsing of words) against Obama.
Clinton, signicantly, qualified his remarks by saying,"of course, that depends on your definition of the word "sex." But if you are talking about missionary-position, man on woman, penile-vaginal intercourse, then no, I did not have sex with that man."
In response to Clinton's announcement, an obviously planned response from the Clinton campaign headquarters stated: "The DNA testing on Mr. Clinton's wardrobe is in progress, but so far Barack Obama has not consented to giving a DNA specimen for comparison."
When asked to comment, Obama merely stated: "...he wishes..."
