New President for S. Korea:About that Iraq thing

So this afternoon, Thursday their time S. Korea elected a New President. Like Australia and England before them S. Korea Another Iraq Coalition of the Billing Willing replaces the head of their country. Where does that leave Iraq.

Bloomberg reported this afternoon Lee Myung Bak won the election. Now where does this leave S. Korea? According to Boston.Com

Lee also wants to draw Seoul's traditional allies Japan and the United States closer. Tokyo and Washington often were put off by what one former U.S. official called Roh's penchant for "talking to the media before thinking" about foreign policy.

On the otherhand

"Both sides have to work at repairing the relationship, and the U.S. can't assume a frictionless relationship and has to realize that even the election of a conservative doesn't mean that he will always agree with U.S. conservatives," he said.

So where does this leave S. Korea in reference to the War on Terror?
