I Saw Gary Trauner Tonight--Can Wyoming do it?

In a small town in Wyoming, Gary Trauner (D), candidate for the lone U.S. House seat spoke to a capacity crowd. This man has a lot of energy, enthusiasm, ideas for America..the guy is smart and business saavvy...

Just to make sure we were aware how much power Cubin (Cheney) has, a huge military helicopter hovered overhead.

To a capacity crowd for a small town, Gary Trauner discussed the urgent need for change, checks and balances,  and a host of local issues including wildlife, rangeland protection, and energy development.

He's up against Barbara Cubin, who took money from DeLay and Abramhoff, voted to sell off public lands, and who backs Hastert totally.  She can only say negative things about Trauner, the usual "librul" and "out of state person", and oh my god, a democrat in Wyoming.

In light of the Foley scandal, Cubin is most remembered for her cookies, baked in the shape of penises, given to all the members of the Wyoming State legislature when she was a member.  She hardly has anything to say, of course, about Foley's IMs.

Well, how about a breath of fresh air, along with Jon Tester from our neighbor up north? Trauner discussed whether he would "take on" Cheney....given the coattails that Barbara Cubin is likely to use, even with a guy at 19% approval rating.

Trauner took the high road--it is not about individuals, its about the direction we're going in....and moving the discussion forward in an open way

Cheney said he'd do the same thing all over again, even with the intelligence report on the lies told before the Iraq war.  In Wyoming, Cheney is the machine.  An essential, important, and very tough job to defeat any of the republicans here.
